Saputo Cobram recognised for outstanding community engagement

28 January 2025

Saputo Dairy Australia’s (SDA) Cobram site has proudly received the 2024 Business of the Year award by Goulburn Murray Local Learning and Employment Networks (GMLLEN) for the Moira Shire local government area.

This annual award recognises one business from each local government area serviced by GMLLEN for their exceptional involvement with local schools and students.

The award highlights SDA’s commitment to providing real ‘on-the-job’ experiences, industry connections and transition preparation through the School to Work pathway program.

Adam Harwood, SDA’s Cobram Site Manager, expressed his pride about the recognition from GMLLEN for their efforts in supporting the next generation of industry professionals.

“We are incredibly proud of the entire team at Cobram for their dedication to fostering strong connections with the community and providing valuable opportunities for local students to explore careers in the dairy industry,” he said.

“This award is a testament to our commitment to community engagement and the development of future industry leaders.”

Abbey Monk, School to Work (S2W) Activities Coordinator at GMLLEN praised SDA for its extensive support of students throughout the year.

“We commend SDA for all the touch points they’ve offered students throughout the year. We recognise this takes time and is a huge investment from everyone involved. We are immensely grateful for their commitment to provide opportunities to the young people in our community,” she said.

In line with the Saputo Promise, SDA continues to invest in the dairy industry and community programs where its people and dairy farmers live and work.
