Burnie and Allansford teams give back

Food insecurity is on the rise in Australia, so our Burnie and Allansford teams recently dug deep to help address the issue.

A group of our Burnie team members rolled up their sleeves in the Loaves & Fishes kitchen, preparing more than 1,240 serves of lasagne for their community living with food insecurity. The meals were made for the NW Tas school lunch program to help ensure all kids at school receive a substantial meal and learn about nutrition.

According to Loaves & Fishes, almost one in five Tasmanians need emergency food relief, so additional support is always needed. Well done to our team who used our CHEER cheese and Devondale products in the meals.

Also keen to do their part, Allansford team members volunteered with Western District Food Share. They toured the warehouse, built emergency food boxes and learned about food insecurity in their local community.
