Burnie site helps build strong communities

Our Burnie team recently met with SDA’s national community partners, Foodbank and the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation (SAKGF), to better understand the program’s positive impact across the region.

The team also visited Montello Primary School to learn firsthand how the SAKGF program builds healthier communities by equipping children with skills and knowledge around cooking nutritious food. Team members worked with the children to gather produce from the garden and then created healthy, delicious meals in the kitchen to share.

These initiatives are part of our Tasmanian Community Committee’s focus on giving back to support the local communities where we operate as part of our ongoing Saputo Promise commitments.
