Celebrating our Mental Health First Aid Milestone
As part of our year-round commitment to support the mental wellbeing of our people, we are proud to have trained over 200 certified Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAs) across our Australian operations.
Globally, we have more than 670 people trained in mental health first aid. They can spot the signs of someone experiencing mental health challenges and provide initial support and assistance, in much the same way as physical first aiders respond to injury or illness.
We celebrated our 200 MHFAs milestone in time for World Mental Health Day, while recently, teams from our sites and support office hosted events on R U OK? Day to help normalise conversations around mental health.
This year’s R U OK? Day theme of ‘Ask R U OK? Any Day’ aligns with our ongoing commitment to foster a workplace culture where every employee feels safe to discuss mental health issues openly and feel supported by their colleagues.
