Leongatha team educates with hand-picked produce

For Kitchen Garden Month, teams from SDA’s Leongatha site worked with local students to discover seasonal produce which pairs well with our dairy products.

They volunteered at local schools, educating kids around cooking fresh food from a garden alongside our national partner, the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation (SAKGF).

Volunteers provided our products to students from two local schools to help develop a lifelong appreciation of fresh, seasonal food and promoting the nutritional value of dairy as part of a balanced diet.

We've heard the most rewarding part of the day for both our site teams was eating the meal together with the students, which they cooked from scratch.
