Saputo wins HVIA National Safety Innovation Award

We are thrilled to announce that our Driver Training & Spilt Milk Program has won the Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA) National Safety Innovation Award! This prestigious award recognises our commitment to safety and innovation.

The program was created following the success of the Spilt Milk project, which was created to address high crash rates in dairy tanker trucks and brought together industry bodies, major dairy processors and tanker operators. The project identified key challenges, evaluated practices and developed training resources now widely adopted as industry standards.

National Transport Insurance (NTI) collaborated with our team, highlighting the value of leveraging on-the-ground safety expertise. This partnership has shown that effective safety programs are built on real-world experience.

Senior Manager of Fleet & Compliance, Colin Tomelty, said, “Our face-to-face training and the resources developed with NTI are recognised by this award and our industry peers.”

We continue to work with industry professionals to stay aligned with best practices and bring innovative solutions to the table. Congratulations to our Fleet team for their dedication and teamwork!
