SDA sites celebrate World Milk Day
For World Milk Day, our sites were keen to engage with their local communities to remind them of the value of dairy as part of a nutritious diet.
- Our Allansford team provided milk giveaways to the local Terang Mortlake Football Netball Club Auskick and Netta kids, as well as product donations to Tasty Plate, a local organisation that assists in providing unique skill development to people with disabilities.
- In Cobram, our team extended their employee “Guess the number of milk bottles in the jar” competition to the local high school and also donated milk and cheese to five local schools.
- Our Smithton site engaged with Smithton Primary School to hold a year 5 and 6 “Cook Off” using donated Saputo ingredients for students to create their dishes.
- With our national community partner, Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation, we created a ‘Smoothie of the Imagination’ competition for our employees and their families. Congratulations to Tahlia from Wendouree Primary School, who was the winner of a $1,000 Saputo cheese package to further their school’s food education program.
