One of our passionate employees has gone above and beyond in aligning SDA’s values and targets with his day-to-day role.

Michael Dykstra, our Burnie Storage and Distribution Coordinator, led an initiative to ensure our packaged cheese waste goes to compost instead of landfill with a new depackager machine.

Michael's proactive efforts gave us a sustainable makeover and optimised our waste management for greater efficiency. It's ideas like Michael's that help us achieve our Saputo Promise Environment targets.

We applaud Michael and his team for their dedication to the environment and their smart operational improvements. Subsequently, Michael has received a Saputo Applause award, which is an internal employee program that recognises colleagues who have made a valued contribution and live Saputo’s values.
