Local community partnerships

Foodbank Australia

Foodbank Australia

Saputo Dairy Australia (SDA) is proud to be a national donor of Foodbank Australia.

Our ongoing support and dairy product donations help communities in need and addresses the issue of food security.

Our Devondale milk donations are distributed by Foodbank every week to hungry Australians, including school breakfast clubs to feed students. We donate additional dairy products as needed, including for Foodbank’s bushfire and flood emergency food relief programs.

We believe in building healthier communities and promoting healthy lifestyle habits. Working with Foodbank means we can help support over 2,840 front line charities, local community organisations and over 3,379 schools across the country.

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation

Saputo Dairy Australia (SDA) is pleased to be partnering with the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation (SAKGF) to help provide children with skills and experiences that can lead to positive food behaviours throughout their life.

SAKGF is a not-for-profit charity that supports educators to deliver pleasurable food education to children across Australia. Pleasurable food education teaches children to grow, harvest, prepare and share fresh, seasonal, delicious food to form positive food habits for life. Our support helps deliver the program to over 1,000 Australian schools and early childhood centres.

The partnership reflects the heart of the Saputo values, which is our commitment to healthy living and nutrition.

Building Strong Communities

As part of our commitments to the communities we operate, we believe investing in improving programs, services and equipment will help build strong, resilient and thriving communities. Stronger communities will lead to a stronger dairy industry in Australia.

The Building Strong Communities Program aims to support organisations whose focus is:

  1. Disaster preparedness, relief and recovery
  2. Development of sustainability initiatives in local communities
  3. Development of community dairy education and related programs

Projects must benefit the broader community and serve to enhance the sustainability of the dairy industry.

Projects we have committed funds to include:

  • Agritas: Duck River Meadows Dairy – school visitation program and community open days
  • Maffra Golf Club – irrigation project
  • Corryong and District Memorial Public Hall – multi-purpose hall refurbishment project
